MY VISION FOR THE PEOPLE OF KATSINA STATE IS TO LEAD A GOVERNMENT THAT EXITS TO BUILD THE FUTURE OF ITS INDIGENES.
Our vision is to have a public sector administration that is guided by good governance, sincerity of purpose, and commitment to service..
We can’t Build Your Future without educating and upskilling the people of Katsina State at all levels. Education’s mandate is to develop and provide human capital for the State, aimed at supporting macro economic development and implementation, amongst other focus areas. If service delivery in this area is compromised, economic growth is slowed considerably due to a skills deficit in crucial sectors such as the finance, economic and infrastructure sectors. .
SOCIAL CARE BUDGET Establish a social care fund equivalent to 5% of annual budget. Establish 15 Community Care Centres by 2025. Build 500 homes a year for 4 years. LAWS Introduce the Universal Social Care Act. ORGANISATIONS Establish a department for social care services. Enhance the Ministry of Housing. COMMUNITY Launch the Katsina Community Care Program. KNOWLEDGE Promote learning on empathy and care giving across communities. SECURITY Ensure mental and emotional security for the vulnerable group. Allow care workers to deliver their services safely. 4.1 VISION FOR SOCIAL CARE The Dikko Radda Administration will enable graduation from extreme poverty by monitoring progression through a database across social protection programmes, supporting financial products, services and literacy for the poorest, strengthening communities, and improving the coverage and targeting of core social protection programmes under our Building Your Future Strategic Policy. Graduation will also mean linking the poorest to economic activity through the provision of skills..
The Dikko Radda Administration will be focused on ensuring that growth and rural development are underpinned by appropriate skills and productive employment, especially for the growing cohort of youth. The main objective is the creation of at least 200,000 new jobs annually moving towards the Building Your Future objective of 25% of the workforce engaged in off- farm sectors by 2027..
The Dikko Radda Administration will focus on a healthcare as a key component of its future building project. Healthcare requires the State to play a significant role in all health programmes. While the State will be delivering some of the health services directly to its people, its role will be confined largely to steering the overall health development programme through the setting of service delivery standards, design and issuance of guidelines, monitoring progress on meeting objectives and outcomes and securing essential funding for the sector..
The Dikko Radda Administration will build an agricultural sector that will focus on maximising agricultural manufacturing value added in the state while building allied industries in the process. This double pronged approach can lead to job and wealth creation for our people. .
Achieving the Building Your Future Strategic Policy (BYFSP) objectives will partially depend on whether peace and security prevail in Katsina state and the region and on external contributions in the form of official development assistance and foreign direct investment. Therefore, The Dikko Radda Administration will endeavour to create a climate of peace, security and stability in the state and beyond by developing, maintaining and strengthening good relationships with all states and by co- operating with other members of the national security in elaborating and maintaining law. Katsina will project itself as a state that is peaceful and secure, where democracy thrives and economic policies are stable and predictable. It is a state which respects human rights, the rule of law, and its obligations to the people. 37 .
